You could try hitting the mainboard's Ethernet port with some air duster, or maybe electronic component cleaner, if it comes down to that. If you can do a direct swap with another machine, and it links up and connects, then you know that the issue is with your machine, and you may be looking at a bad connector on the mainboard, unfortunately. My bet is that you have a bad cable, but it could also be a bad port on your router (or whatever you are plugging the other end of the Ethernet cord into), or a bad port on the mainboard. Can you confirm that the cable that you are using is a working cable by plugging it into another machine, or using a known working cable from another machine? If you are using any Ethernet wall jacks, switches, or anything else between your computer and your router or modem, then you'll want to either bypass them, or at least test the entire path with a known working machine.

This definitely doesn't sound like a driver problem so much as a hardware issue. The "No killer network interfaces connected" message is normal when the suite is unable to detect a good Internet connection so, considering your circumstances, that's to be expected. However, unfortunately, the Ethernet connector on the mainboard is still suspect. I'm assuming there was no error, going by your response to the other suggestion. Well, we know that the chip itself is okay, as it would otherwise not have allowed you to disable and re-enable it in the Device Manager, at least not without an error.

I'm at a loss and at a dead end If anyone has advice, different drivers I should install, or any possible help thanks in advance.

I have attempted to set up a new network but the access router never comes up I have attempted to install new drivers at this website When I installed the new drivers the thing in the Bios didn't change and it says: "No killer network interfaces connected" in the driver. When I trouble shoot it says that the Network cable is unplugged and tells me to plug an ethernet cable into this computer. I have run the Bios and when I roll over the port it says: "LAN_0 : Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet ,DisConnected" When I open up settings and go to network i says that a local area connection is not connected like the ethernet cable isn't connected but it is.

The modem is active and giving the house internet. When I look on the back of the motherboard at the ethernet port I noticed that the flashing lights weren't lighting up.

I'm using Windows 10 64 bit and the connection button has the little red x showing me that I have no connection. In the searching result, find out Network adapters and then hit. I recently moved and when I attempted to connect to the internet using ethernet, the computer wouldn't. Download, install and run Driver Booster on Windows 10 or Windows 11. Also I have a feeling Killer Network is the problem so if there is another adapter that works with my motherboard I would be happy to try it.I have a PC with a MSI Z87-GD65 gaming motherboard that I built myself. When it did come back I got 'Windows could not automatically detect network's proxy settings' and after 2 minutes it just starting working again.īasically I'm writing this because it is going to happen again and I have no idea why, so if anyone has any ideas that'd be grand. The internet came back on after the third attempt of shutting everything down (router, computer) waiting a few minutes and turning it back on. Now I have 'Killer Diagnostics' from when I had this error previously, so will attach that file if possible.

To which the problem went back to the valid IP config issue. I then uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled the adapter. This was after hard reseting the network adapter, it got stuck and this came up. "The Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems". While attempting to fix a number of different errors occured this time including: Now I have tried everything to fix this including the huge post here: 'Ethernet does not have a valid IP configuration'

My guess would be a faulty or damaged lan cable the same thing happened to me but it was connecting at 10 Mbps, I replaced it with another cat5E and the connection went to 1 Gbps.

When I go to diagnose it comes up with a bunch of errors but the main one which stays is: The huawei HG8245 is capable of 1 Gbps connections the manual states that it is autosense 10/100/1000 Mbps. I have been getting every say month, at random times an issue where my internet suddenly drops and my BT router stays blue (good connection).
